Just have to write about how I feel right now, I really want to write a paper on the topic that a lot of people dont see, and that is the big picture. So here is a short brief of whats been on my mind....as much as I like to talk at times, for me the best way of expression is to write. This may be long, some of you will get what I am talking about, others may not, but I feel I have to express... Have you ever went through life at a young age, and had no clue on who you were or what you were capable of? Did you think you could do better? Did you think you were never great? Did you look at yourself in the mirror and wonder what you could accomplish? Did you think you could? did you think you may fail? did you have the courage to leave it all behind, and trust in something, that was far greater than anything you could imagine? Did you find yourself, did you become who you never thought you would be? Did you fall in love with an inanity, that you gave your heart and soul to. An inanity where the minimum standards were expectable, but finally you found something you were great at. So for years, you rose above those minimum standards and time and time again, you dedicated your self to that cause, gave up so much of your life, missed out on so much, but yet you never complained...you did what was asked of you, but most of all you did it with a smile on your face, that inanity made you the person in your reflection. So you felt you would always do whatever you could, whatever was asked, because without that inanity, you would never be...blessed with the person you are today. Have you ever felt that no matter what was asked of you, it would be done to the best of your ability? Have you ever had that inanity, you love so much, that you believe in with all your heart...break it a few times? And you still no matter the heart break, the tears you have cried, the moments and memories you have missed out on, you still have the courage to face it? These are a few things I want to explain, maybe for those that see things different than me: ADAPTING: To me this means that no matter what the inanity asks of you, you adapt to your environment. Even when things are not in your favor, you adapt as best as you can. You have a positive attitude and so thankful you are where you are. You adapt, because of your faith. LEARNING: To me, this means that even if you havent done the job in years, you are still eager to learn, you try to take it all in. When others dont see you, you dont highlight yourself, because a great General along the way taught you to be humble. But it also means that what you have learned, even though its different than what others have learned, you pass on the lessons you have been taught. QUALITY: is how you handle things, you take things home to ensure that if your name is attached to it, it is always going to be of quality. Even if it causes you to lose sleep, you value your name and the work you produce. So all that you attempt, you want nothing than for it to be the best product. TIMELINESS: Is being tasked with something, either you have a deadline, or they need the product by morning. So you take responsibility for it, and say I will take it home. You get tasked with things, because at the time, you will meet deadlines and get it done, no matter what. PROFESSIONAL GROWTH: This to me is simple, you take your abilities and the positions youve held and pass them on to others. Because you want others to grow. COMMUNICATION/ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE: Is how you feel, even if others dont agree, you communicate and voice your concerns, its not always how you write an MFR, or an EPR, its how you care. Org climate, is how you see something that is wrong and stand up for the standards that have been instilled upon you, even when you feel youll get backlash, you know its your job to correct it. You just deal with it, because its what you know. SUPERVISORY SKILLS: I could write a book about this. But I am going to make it short and sweet...its about helping anyone you can. Even if they are not assigned to you, its your responsibility to go above and beyond when someone needs you. Its taking time to listen, mentor, and assist the future generation. LEADERSHIP: Again I have had the honor of working with some of the most amazing leaders an inanity can offer, I have watched them from a distance, when they had no clue, I would be in a corner and watch every move, I respected them more than anything, because of the unseen lessons they had no clue they taught me. But most of all I learned: Leaders are those that can make a difference, by doing something that makes a difference Leadership is being unhappy with current --acceptable standards---, they stand up for change, correct behaviors or situations, regardless of backlash. Leaders think differently, they are big picture thinkers, they think before, and more often than others think. Wether to find a solution, or think outside the typical box of this cant be done...leaders find a way. ---And my favorite one--- Leaders are able to self disclose their shortfalls of their journey---the good, bad, and otherwise to me without failure you will never strive to become better. TECHNICAL ABILITY: Is not always knowing every intricate detail that you signed up for. Its the ability to over time be proficient. You cant sacrifice years then expect to know it all in a short period of time. But it means to me, that everything youve learned, that a lot of people dont see or understand, your technical ability of an inanity, you pass on to others. I just like to see the big picture of things. We can all do what weve been taught to do yrs ago. Its like riding a bike, once you learn, you will always hop back on. But if you have technical knowledge about the big picture inanity then you have the ability to be a great asset. So by now if youve read all of this thank you, its just been on my mind. And hopefully, just maybe one day, the picture you see, is something I see. Believing, is something others may not share the same vision, but you must always have faith that what you believe in, is worth fighting for.
