Just heard an old friend of mine Norman Lloyd has committed suicide slit his wrist and neck ?? He was a gambler probably got himself into a load of dept he was always good for a laugh. When I was at my hotel In Birmingham in the early days of the 80s he used to pop in and borrow money from me, I loaned him £30 he always bought it back after a couple of days but this time it went on for a few weeks. I caught hold of him in the club Norman what about the £30 pound you owe me ? Hang on I will sort you out in a mo !! About fifteen minutes later he gave me the £30. Was leaving the club and said to another mate are you coming out tonight he said sorry Brian I am skint just lent Norman Lloyd £30. Will never forget him for that it was a classic
