Just heard from a friend regarding David Kaye with whom we both graduated. David was the main 2003 UN inspector on the ground in Iraq. He now admits that Colon Powell and others did not have accurate translations of documents used to validate WMDs. How sad. Perhaps that information could have stopped us before the Iraq War began. Where were the true Arab speakers? So much education masquerades as knowledge and yet does not provide us with what is needed in emergencies. It makes me know that all leaders are flawed and have no more intelligence than you or I do. Right now, humility, open ears, and wisdom could go a long way to stop our making a mistake with Syria. The confusion given us as truth does not deserve approval. The fabric of America shreds right before our very eyes, and we seem powerless, no matter how many calls and emails we make to our government representative.
