Just home from a co-leading a three-day retreat called Improv Wisdom for a Meaningful Life, up in the very beautiful mountains up in Sonoma County (yes - the earthquake came through loud and clear up there!). These workshops are really something special. Our wonderful participants showed up ready to play and inquire and learn and laugh and question. And we built a really wonderful three-day experience together. Im so grateful to them for showing up in all of their glory, bringing such genuine attention, curiosity and willingness. I learned a lot this time around the power of putting these positive and powerful skills to work in a supportive environment. Thank you, Ted DesMaisons for co-leading this with me, and for bringing such valuable insight and courage to the process! More! NOW, I am off to BATS Improv to study improvised epic theatre, in the style of Bertolt Brecht, taught by two incredible visiting improvisors from Germany, Uta Walter and Thomas Jakel. Im in the middle of a wonder sandwich, that is the truth.
