Just home from a long and exhausting day out (booked as holiday in our agency office diary ...!). Visited my father in the nursing home: he was in fine spirits. Chatted away, 19 to the dozen, is even planning to take some meals in the dining room with other residents, as opposed to always staying in his room. Got a cab to my nieces home, my sister came over (both recovered from recent illness) so a good family catch up. Several bonuses: my hairdresser niece cut and coloured my hair (superbly as always) and I saw more of her daughter, my great-niece. On the way home, after the bus and train, Victoria station tube was just horrendous, I do so hate and fear the overcrowding that sees people 10 deep shuffling slowly to the one down escalator. Scary. Now for a G+T I think. Will tackle the email pile-up tomorrow.
