Just imagine...walking into the Earths interior from the seafloor all the way to the base of the ocean crust, and finding petroglyphs! Imagine walking over a land mass the size of New Zealand that originated south of the equator, but now is located thousands of miles north today. Imagine discovering the artifacts of Americas version of Pompeii. Imagine walking through the guts of a gigantic subduction zone that lifted seafloor sediments to 7,000 feet above sea level. Thats all happening on just the first two days of our journey! We cant predict the weather or the wildfires, or the traffic jams, or other circumstances, but we are in for an exciting and unpredictable journey through some of the most spectacular landscapes on planet Earth.
