Just in case I was the only one watching Home for the Holidays last night... This song and this woman definitely provoked an immense amount of emotions inside of me! The term inspirational woman has been written on my timeline a few times in the last few months. I feel that Jennifer Hudson is the epitome of just that. You know she finished SEVENTH during her season on American Idol?? You know she won an Academy Award and Golden Globe before ever releasing her debut album? You know the same year she released that first album her mother, brother, and nephew were murdered by her sisters husband? You know she lost a lot of weight and still doesnt feel the need to participate in the tiny ensembles and provocative dancing? Such A beautiful, strong, and secure woman... The kind our young ladies should be looking up to!
