Just in case someone is thinking about using blogspot for their artist portfolio, I just wanted to say I would strongly recommend you do not. Putting it nicely, I dont think that platform is capable of showing others how much you care about your work. I personally think it probably hinders your work, because it tends to come off disorganized and doesnt speak to your ability to gather thoughts in a compelling, cohesive manner. Ive been pouring over a lot of portfolios over the past month and the blogspot ones feel very amateurish. Its not an indictment on the work therein, but it does cloud my judgement as to how much the artist cares about their stuff. Make something special to showcase your work. Show you care both about the work and how its presented. Youre selling yourself both as an artist and as someone who is responsible and put-together, so make sure youre representing your work appropriately from end to end.
