Or just want to get started on the manuscript for The Great American Scholarly Work? Well, AcWriMo is here for you! Eagle Commons Library will host studio hours for AcWriMo (Academic Writing Month) in November. Studio hours will be Mondays and Wednesdays in November from 3-8 p.m. in Sycamore Hall, Room 119. AcWriMo is a month long productivity initiative inspired by National Novel Writing Month to help scholars, faculty and students overcome the difficult task of academic writing. Participants set crazy goals for all aspects of academic writing (book chapters, cover letters, abstracts etc.), publicly declare their goals and report their progress towards these goals via social media. No sign-up is needed, just drop in and write. ECL is food- and drink-friendly, so set some goals, make yourself comfortable, and get writing! Please share this with all students, faculty, and staff who might benefit from some dedicated writing time.
