Just in the last three minutes, I have received these emails. the ATHA is being bombarded. Not sure how we can keep up. Lets hope the powers that be hear, understand and revisit. This needs major input from all, before it is considered. Not just the AHTA. 1 Please no jet skis. I will wait to hear what happens before I book my next trip. I dont want to be in Anguilla if there are jet skis. I usually go 5 times a year. I have 2 trips booked this year but will travel elsewhere if there are jet skis. We love the peaceful nature of the island and the solitude one is able to experience while vacationing there. Jet skis would drastically change this atmosphere that we appreciate so much. We come to Anguilla to escape the aural bombardment of frenzied environments. Senseless noise, that is generated by others who have no concern for or consideration of others, is not an attribute that should be associated with your beautiful island. Anguilla, supposedly the peaceful quiet island, why the need of jet skis? What wrong with sailing, snorkeling etc? Bringing in jet skis to really contribute to the destruction of our coral reeves and even worst, scaring away of fish? What tourist really enjoy? Fresh fish already being eaten by the lion fish, would be a shame when we cannot help to repopulate them. Look at it in an environmental way, imagine the pollution jet skis also create. We honestly do not NEED them. Let us be unique in having our local sail boats etc. It is true, this may bring in a couple more thousand for Anguilla but honestly our beaches and semi-clean seas, (with the exception of liter) peaceful waters are already put through enough with garbage, fuel and oil from boats, sun bleached coral reeves due to all pollution us humans are creating, alien species(lion fish for example). Whyyy bring more stress? Want jet skis? Go to Saint Martin, the island for partying, not Anguilla. Take Saint Martin for example, compare, our beaches without these jet skis, clean water. Try to swim in the polluted water in Saint Martin where there are tones of jet skis, not very pleasing. Of course this is only my opinion. I hope the right decision is made
