Just landed in Dunedin for the second of our awesome election - TopicsExpress

Just landed in Dunedin for the second of our awesome election focused PSA Youth conferences. Its my birth town so inevitably I get a bit emotional on arrival. tonight I was lucky to travel to the city with a taxi driver from Cameroon. We got chatting and I asked him how it was going for him here in Dunedin. He says there are no jobs. Everything is expensive. He is a qualified mental health worker. I said to him we should be using his skills and experience. I told him we have 18,000 members working in the health sector and it is not good for them either. Why should someone come all this way, with their hopes and dreams, their qualifications, just to earn a subsistence. I want a better country for him and for all of us.
