Just last week, CIRs short documentary, ALONE: Teens in Solitary Confinement, aired as part of REVEAL, the new CIR TV series on public TV. The film by Daffodil Altan and Trey Bundy focused on the Rikers Island Jail.Now Rikers is ending solitary for inmates under 20. Trey and Daffodils reporting began a couple of years ago, and we released it on many platforms, including an influential PBS Newshour story last year and a short animation by Michael Schiller, The Box.
