Just learnt that power tariff hike will be announced in Delhi on July 7th. How can power tariff’s be increased untill the CAG audit is completed? What is the justification for this proposed hike? As if the people were not suffering enough already with the hike in prices of petrol, diesel, food items & rail fares, the BJP Govt. seems intent on making their life more miserable. Did the BJP not promise 30% reduction in Electricity prices for Delhi in their manifesto? BJP Govt. seems to be doing nothing to curb corruption & inefficiency which will negate the need to increase tariffs.
