Just left Bens bedside @St.Vincents; he was moved to SICU (Surgical ICU). He had Fever, we think, from a whole Week of the Tube irritating his Airway. But, they had Ice Packs under each armpit & was on Antibiotics & Fever Reducer Meds. Still, sedated to keep him comfortable w/that tube, BUT, after I was there talking to him & holding his hand, he OPENED his Eyes & found mine & let me know that HE WAS IN THERE!! yay!!! So I read to him a couple Chptrs of one of his favorite Books: Carnivore. He lay quiet and his Lady-Guard, Shasta, said she could tell he was just Listening. This time next week when I get to come back, I expect him to Talk to me.
