Just left hospital and headed home after spending the night because BP was 164/120 and having contractions. Doctor diagnosed me with gestational hypertension (I do not have pre eclampsia). He ordered bed rest and to return to hospital if BP rises again or I have vision problems, headache, or upper gastric pain. Good news is that I am starting to efface (cervix thinning) and my contractions were regular and 2mins apart. So I am close to delivering. That said, to my friends, please let me know Ur available hours so I can call when it is time. P.S. the beds in Labor & Delivery are really uncomfortable. Any suggestions?
