Just left the Iowa State Pheasants Forever council meeting on - TopicsExpress

Just left the Iowa State Pheasants Forever council meeting on behalf of the Clarke County Conservation Board. Pheasants Forever Chapters have already pledged $20,000 towards a diverse piece of property that the Conservation Department is hoping to acquire. Today, I presented to them in an effort to acquire an extra $10,000, to which they accepted. Also, a Habitat Stamp grant is being applied for, that if granted, will allow Clarke County Conservation to purchase this property and open it up for public access. This will be huge for both sportsman and non-sportsman alike as Iowa currently ranks second to last in the country in terms of public acres. With that being said, I want to thank every organization who has stepped up to help, as well as every individual who has purchased a hunting license/habitat stamp in Iowa. This is again proof that HUNTERS are the leading conservationist, and do more good for both game and non-game species alike across the entire country than anyone else out there. Chew on that for awhile PETA.
