Just like Abigail Adams, the wife of John Adams, the first Vice - TopicsExpress

Just like Abigail Adams, the wife of John Adams, the first Vice President, and second President, of the United States, reminded her husband in a letter in 1776 that American women would not hold themselves bound by any laws in which they had no voice or participation, Kenyans are telling Uhuru Kenyatta that because he did not allow Kenyans to let their voices heard and because he denied Kenyans the right to participate in the drafting of the Security Laws (Amendment) Bill 2014, which has been forced into law through a rubber-stamp parliament, Kenyans will not hold themselves bound by this draconian piece of legislation. The Kenya Constitution 2010 made Kenyan citizens major players and participants on how they are governed unlike before when they were mere spectators as dictators lord over them. This is what Uhuru Kenyatta is determined to re-enact. The Preamble and Chapter on the Bill of Rights are clear on this. The Constitution empowers citizens and allows them to participate in the affairs of their country. This was not adhered to when Uhuru Kenyatta forced the Security Laws (Amendment) Law 2014 through the throats of the Kenyan people. If there was any doubts, the events in the National Assembly of Kenya (Parliament) on Thursday, December 18, cleared any of the doubts that may have existed.
