Just like Isaiah, God has hidden us in the shadow of His hand. He - TopicsExpress

Just like Isaiah, God has hidden us in the shadow of His hand. He places us in His quiver to prepare us for that perfect moment when He will propel us into the next phase of our destiny. During that time of preparation, He makes us as a polished shaft. This picture of us being arrows in God’s quiver is powerful. God trains us for the purposes He has for us. He sharpens us as a mighty weapon in His hands. We are His instruments. He does not hit the mark; the arrow does. God polishes the shaft so the arrow doesn’t miss hitting the mark with precision. It cannot be warped or misaligned. If the shaft is crooked, the arrow is useless. It has little value if the head is dull and unable to pierce. First the wood of the shaft has to be sanded and straightened. Then it is anointed with oil to be softened. At that point it can receive the tip and is ready. The quiver is the place of rest where patience and trust is learned. Right before it is thrown, the arrow has to be totally still with no disturbances. Paul was hidden in the quiver for 14 years, Joseph 13, Moses 40, Joshua 40, David 30 and Jesus 30. When it’s time for the shaft to be launched, there is a shift. What God has purposed for us will come to pass. Let’s be still today and know that He is God, from glory to glory! Isaiah 49:2 “And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, And made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me.” This devotional: His Quiver.
