Just like Twitter, Instagram uses hashtags to organize photos. Some hashtags are more popular than others, but it is important to always use relevant hashtags. Instagram’s search engine is much more powerful than Twitters, because people use it to search for interesting photos. It is much easier to “digest” a photo than to read someone’s thoughts on Twitter. At most, use 3 hashtags. Anything more than 3, people believe the photo is “spammy.” The more people who interact with your photo, the better likelihood you will get more instagram followers.
