Just like any other sport, the CrossFit regionals competition this year showed community and mate-ship across the board. The general vibe from the athlete area (backstage) was very different to last year in a sense that there was much more friendly banter amongst the athletes and teams. The same way parents attend their sons/daughters footy match all the way to top level tennis where Serena Williams has her mum watching in the audience, this CrossFit event had the same feel. The reason for this is because a CrossFit athlete dedicates every meal, training session, recovery session, treatment session, alarm setting and sleeping pattern to bettering their performance. That is why they are athletes. I had lots of fun treating the athletes backstage particularly those who have been having regular treatment trying to get things fixed. What a great weekend and I cannot wait to see the next chapter in LA!!!!!
