Just made it back home from what was one of the best event weekends that I can think of. Thanks to Mike McCall and Shane Garner for kicking the weekend off by pulling strings and getting us a monster group table at one of the most insane Dinner venues Ive been too! Lol! I dont know what was more memorable, Charlie Browns comments about Joshua Purvis duck dynasty beard or Sammy Barnes getting a face full right there at the table with a spotlight on him, and we cant forget LaceynSteven Palmer on stage showing off how she can blow out a candle Virginia style! During all the fun I look up just to see Greta Refert looking at me from across her table, shaking her head, Im still trying to figure out if it was in disbelief or disapproval. But, all the excitement of the night made the $1,100 tab a little easier to deal with! Fast forward a few hours to the hotel lobby, the front desk greets me with a Good Afternoon Mr. Morin as I think to myself, good afternoon? woman, I just rolled out of bed, this is early morning to me. The Rhodes Hall event was a HUGE success, everything ran smooth, Staci Kaiser Morin and I cant thank the Crew (extended family) for all the help! Mandy Purvis seemed much happier this year on the money side of the table instead of the hot dog side! HAHA! Dustin Ridner was going to be door security for only an hour or so, Im looking around for him hours later, and he was still outside in the freezing cold with no jacket with an icicle hanging out of his nostril! Thank goodness Elaina Johnson gave him some hot chocolate to thaw him out before the ghost hunting! I think poor lil Whitney Johnson is still in shock about seeing her first big city, exposing her to all the traffic, electricity and people, she will never look at Greenville the same! Thank goodness for Kevin Johnson for filling in the gaps everywhere, and you have to give it up for Steve Foley for making it through the night without running out of the building this year, but I have a strong suspicion that Fireball had something to do with that. Carolyn Poe ran the merch like a champ and I only heard her scream POW POW once! Give it up for Raleigh Childress for leading his group solo this weekend and helping everywhere. Nick Davis sorry, I felt like an auctioneer on stage while announcing group numbers, what a perfect time to sell you off to some ladies, lol! And everybody LOVES Frances Simerly , we are so glad you came out again, but as usual, you dart out of the hotel at 5:30am after every event and no one gets to give you a hug and kiss before you leave :( And Shenia Wong what would Adam have done if you were not there this weekend? I told everyone to be easy on Krista M Scruggs, it was her first big event with us but she handled it like a pro, we just have to get her on our crazy sleeping schedule at events now. And of course, all the love to Chip Coffey and Adam Berry for a crazy weekend that Im sure we will all remember for a long time. Ok, now everybody get some rest!
