Just my opinion...you can buy the most expensive cookbooks by the most well known chefs and authors. And, you can spend an inordinate amount of cash on cooking classes...yet, some of the best recipes can be found in those little digest sized mini cookbooks at the checkout stand at Kroger or Wal-Mart. A couple of nights ago I made a chicken & mushroom crepe dish that was to die for. Yeah, I tweaked it and made a few personal adjustments to make it my own...but the end result was something that I could see as a regular dish for myself or for myself and a guest or two. Love to cook. If I had to do it over again....I would have studied the culinary arts and spent the last 40 years as a top chef. Next to performing magic shows.....nothing.gives me more pleasure cooking or brewing.
