Just my thought after reading the stuff in trending about Paul McCartney. What some people dont think about, even though the Beatles were all the rage in the late 60s, and Wings came along in the mid-late 70s, is that we all knew about the Beatles, the Stones, the Who, the Dave Clark 5, Hermans Hermits, et al, before there was an Internet, or personal computers, or 8-track tapes even, and yet we all knew who they were from publicity about their shows and the music on the radios and such. As one person said on that page, we are getting old. But still, I would never have known who Kanye West or Beyoncé or some of the popular musicians of today without the Internet. Maybe the difference is that then we all used to talk to one another in person, or by telephones that were hooked into our homes, and they popularity of the 60s musician was through word of mouth and good radio and such, and today, with everyone walking around with their noses in a cell phone, or texting, perhaps they simply dont have much of a chance to know what is going on in the world around them.
