Just next to my seat was a man who started speaking to me as the train left Calicut. His face looked a bit familiar. When I told this to him directly, he replied that he is a writer. It was Kilimanoor Madhu, to my big surprise! Then it was literal hours ahead for me. We spoke about many many things, he recited some of his poems, discussed about his upcoming threads and also spoke about his close friendships with the eminent writers in Malayalam, regular experiences with MT and previous close friendship with Madhavikkutty. He made me read some writings of mine from my blog as well. When I read out my poem- ഋതുപരിണാമം of which the theme was love, and when I got a sore throat in between, he said, ഇതാണ് ശരി. പ്രണയം പറയുംബോഴും എഴുതുംബോഴും തൊണ്ടയിടറണം. What a shot that was! He also made me read out my recent prose- ഇത് കേരളം ആണ്- and he said, ഉള്ളിൽ അഗ്നി ഉണ്ട്. അത് കെടാതെ സൂക്ഷിക്കണം എന്നും. പേരു പോലെ ജ്വലിക്കണം When he finally left at Wadakkancheri, he pointed to my heart, and said... There resides the fire within you. Take care, which itself has become a fire for me! What a day! :) God, you are terrific! You just make things and people just happen to me with one click! Thank you! :)
