Just on a whim, I thought I would visit Union Fair today for a bit. Taking advantage of the senior citizen discount was not that comfortable, but it turns out that Veterans got in for free, so that was pretty cool. They were having a Veterans deal in the park and I got to connect with my friend Jim Christie who advocates for Veterans. Dick Wyman was handing out various things and I got a great NAVY cap. I got looking at the cap as things wound down and saw that it was made in China. What a huge disappointment. I understand economics and all and I didnt pay for the cap, but it seems like we could do something different. I really appreciate the free admission, the fact the the fair is recognizing Veterans and the free cap, but we really need to fix this made in China thing.
