Just out of curiosity I have a question for those that do not - TopicsExpress

Just out of curiosity I have a question for those that do not believe in Jesus Christ or God , yet celebrate his birthday December 25th ... Christmas. To me this seems a tad hypocritical , kind of like me celebrating the main holiday of someone elses religion even though I do not believe in their form of God. People are allowed (IMO) to believe in whatever they wish , I would never tell someone their personal religion choice is wrong and try to be respectful of whatever another chooses to believe in. I dont understand how some can be so vocally diminishing of anothers beliefs, lump all of one religious group together as hateful people, then celebrate the most cherished day of said religion. I believe in my Lord Jesus Christ if I am wrong and at the end of my life I dont travel onto Heaven and my loved ones waiting for me, whats it to you? Im not hurting anyone in believing what I do, in fact it strenghtens me and makes me a better, more tolerant, compassionate person. I follow Do unto others and love thy neighbor.. as well as many other Loving aspects of Spirituality and Christianity. I see other religious groups complain of stereotypes and judgement yet watch them turn around and do the same. It will NEVER end if the hate mongering and stereotypes dont stop with YOU. Be respectful, LOVE one another.. do not allow hate to consume your heart no matter what you believe in. Alot of people seem to want change , yet do nothing to bring it about. Dont wait for the other guy to do it.. start with you. Now that Ive gotten that off my chest, why is it ok to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ if you dont believe in and mock him? Yes Holidays have gone commercial, but sorry to say you may be an idiot if you arent aware Christmas originated with the birth of Jesus Christ and represents that even if you dont believe in him. Merry Christmas my FB family and friends , and Happy Holidays. Stay safe, feel and most importantly SHOW the love. :)
