Just over a week ago, I came home with news for my dad that I had passed my state boards and accepted a job at Ohio State. I will never forget his reaction. He looked down and teared up, and said that he was overwhelmed with pride and happiness that he raised three college graduates. He told me, I wish I could bottle up this feeling forever. Yesterday evening and into the early morning, he was surrounded by the love of my mom, sisters, and I as he passed away peacefully. My heart has never been more broken, and I will be thinking about our memories every single day. But I find solace in knowing that he had realized his impact on my sisters and I, and that he passed on with an accomplishment of his that brought him so much joy. He was kind, thoughtful, humble, and worked harder in 52 years than most do in a lifetime. Rest in peace, Barry Stallard. We will continue to work hard to make you proud. We love you and miss you more than were able to express.
