Just played a solo gig at Pleasant Trees Assisted Living. This is one of the finest, cleanest and most well run assisted living facilities I have ever had the privilege of performing at.This was about the 30th time I played there. It is small, and out of the way, and only has 18 residents. They lost 3 residents in the last month, so they needed a lift of spirits, but it was they who lifted my spirits. Most entertainers bypass this place because it is so small and remote, but these folks are a lot of fun to play for, and they appreciate that they are not forgotten. Sometimes the smallest audiences give you the biggest response. They even broke out the champaign and desserts during the show and turned it into a nice party, and some even came up to sing along!
