Just posted my thoughts on the X-Factor in response to a friends comment on the show...figured it had relevance here too... The X-Factor Needs to Die Binned the Crap factor last year...talented singers come through, audience is in total AWE of the vocal/visual spectacle in front of them. Next, as the months go by from auditions to judges houses to live shows...eventually some of them win. Then...they get told to stop singing the songs/styles that won them the competition and theyre commercialised from head to toe then die. Granted One Direction are doing really well but its all unimaginative commercialised bulllshit aimed mostly at clueless, easily influenced teens that find Harry cute.... Pass me the bucket... #stepsoffsoapbox P.S - You should hear the stuff that Matt Cardle and his band were writing/performing before he gave up and auditioned for the X-Factor...says it all...heres one such example....
