Just posted on TM AU page- It is completely amazing to me that not more than 2 weeks ago you were advertising National Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day and encouraging families to get their kids to participate in the preparation of food to encourage healthier eating, promote a greater awareness of nutrition and to help foster bonds by doing family activities together. Now we find out that there are people using your product who have had serious burns and scolds. There are people on Thermomix NZ Unhappy Customers who say they contacted you weeks/months ago about this problem and nothing was done about it. Some were even told it was their fault as they werent using the machine properly. Now you are replacing lids and seals, with new instructions on how to use the product safely. We find out that the TM5 has been made with safety features that negate this problem altogether! Is that because you have known for sometime that this was a problem? WHY HAVE YOU NOT DONE A PRODUCT RECALL? People (including children) are at risk of serious injury if they keep using their machines. Some people have even said they are scared for their children to use the machine in case they get hurt. Great reason for kids NOT to participate in the kitchen dont you think?
