Just posted this in reply to a crazy post about ebola. Hospitals prepare for many things. Some of them occur, some of them do not occur. I hardly think that it is some kind of conspiracy that ebola made it into the United States. With a three week incubation period and thousands of known cases, it was only a matter of time before the disease made it to our country. I can imagine that in a country such as ours, the death rates will be significantly lower from the virus because of supportive care alone. In an age where some people believe that everything on the Internet is based in fact, I think it would be best to step back and consider the validity of the source. I do not believe that our president is trying to kill off Americans with a virus that has been around for many years. In fact, that notion is ridiculous. I also do not believe shutting the world down for any period of time is a legitimate option, especially considering the crippling effect it could have on the economy. If this virus was as contagious as the media wants us to believe, it would have already spread exponentially.
