Just read a post that put me on a soap box......It said homeschooled children are not socialized, do not do athletics, and miss school functions.....oh and I left out they are behind educationally. I am not an advocate for any certain way to educate children. I think every family is unique and has to do what works for them. Although my children are very socialized (not bullied though, and taught a Christian curriculum ABEKA).....and when was school created to socialize and go to dances. What happened to education????? And athletics there are city leagues, and classes galore if your child has an interest. I just read 1 in 10,000 high school basketball players may step on a court in the NBA. That is a great dream if my child wants to pursue, I am there. But with those odds I am more concerned with christian character and education. I graduated public school and did fine, thanks to great Christian parents, but my children far exceed my level of education at their age. Moral to the story please do not write about things you know nothing about.........my children are well rounded, intelligent growing people who do not need to even question am I socialized? I am missing life over a dance??? Really.... Coming from a mom that questions herself daily am I doing the right things for my children♡ in my heart I have peace the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!
