Just read an online article: People Beat Each Other Up Over Towels at Wal-Mart on Black Friday. Just really disappointed and embarrassed to see these kinds of reports (and there are many) and to see our collective behavior as a society sink to levels that become lower each year during this event. It is my opinion that the responsibility is shared equally between the CEOs and business people who create an environment that breed these absolutely greedy, selfish and materialistic atmospheres as well as people who engage in spending their money at those places of business on a day that was established to be thankful for what we HAVE been given. There is just something that feels fundamentally wrong about the way that we now usher in a season that is SUPPOSED to be characterized by giving and a celebration of peace on earth and goodwill toward men.
