Just read another sloppy review of White Empress where they insist that theres a male/female interplay in the vocals...this isnt the first review where someone hasnt bothered to even look at the album credits or just watch either of our music videos to see that its just me doing the vocals...not that I wouldnt mind sharing vocal duties with someone, but why is it always just the default assumption that it MUST be a man making the screaming vox? My last commercial release with Luna Mortis was 5 years ago, and I was screaming on that record, and hell, Wages of Sin by Arch Enemy is already 13 years old. I guess Im just surprised that metalheads still make this default assumption even though there are a LOT more female screamers and singer/screamers than there were when I first started out in metal. Metal websites, and metal reviewers are far more aware of women performing extreme or heavy vocals than others, Im just surprised that in 2014 people wont even bother to research the bands they review and additonally, that their assumptions still fall in this very old school view that it couldnt possibly be the Female vocalist making those sounds...anyhow, I appreciate the reviews and coverage neverthless and all you female screamers out there keep kicking ass and showin em how its done!
