Just received an e-mail from a landlord saying he wont allow my pets, but that I should let him know if Im still looking in a couple of weeks. Here is my response that I havent sent yet, because its probably not worth it, but oooooooh it itches: Thanks for getting back to me, but unless you would reconsider the pets issue, theres no point in my letting you know if Im still looking in a couple weeks. Just to clarify, were not talking dogs here. Or cats. Were talking about guinea pigs and a dwarf rabbit. In a pen. Outdoors. Furthermore, if you are in fact insinuating that I should *get rid of my pets* whose well beings I am responsible for, a responsibility I take so seriously that I brought them with me when I moved from NYC 1 1/2 years ago, then clearly we do not share the same values and it would be a bad match anyhow. I would urge you to consider, in fact, if any tenant is willing to abandon their pet simply to rent your property, whether such a person is really one you can trust to take care of your suite?
