Just received an unexpected call from Lizzies neurosurgeon (wasnt expected to hear from him until Thursday). Good news, her back looks good!! There was no further damage to her back than the compressed vertebrae. He said that it was still in the process of healing and the pain level is pretty normal for this injury, it could take a full 5-6 months to recover from this type of fracture. Being that she is only 12, he said once the pain is fully gone, she should be back to her same ol self in no time. . .I would prefer a little less klutzy, but Ill take it!! They have referred her to a adolescent PT down in the medical center. He thinks they will be able to give us a plan that we can bring to a PT in our area, if not, we will be heading downtown 2 times a week. But, thats a small price to pay to hear that news!! Thank you for the prayers and please continue to pray for her as she will now have to go through some pretty intense PT. ~Connie
