Just received my vinyl of Revolver. Its pretty magical. That French horn solo in For No One just caught me. Eleanor Rigby worked its usual magic as did Here There and Everywhere. George starting to stretch out as a guitarist. However... Taxman, Love to You and Yellow Submarine still underwhelm and kid of break the spell for me... I recognize how seismic it was in its moment in time. The best Beatles cover? Its wonderfully diverse and dynamic; so much vital juice but... The White Album and Abbey Rd are greater.
