Just received word that a classmate and old friend has suddenly passed. He used to talk with me for hours and watch weird, obscure movies with me. Every time I would swing by the Chalet Movie Theatre a few years after we all graduated, it was like we never stopped being friends. He asked me to go see Pulp Fiction with him and I went thinking it was a friends date. He had other plans. There was a rose on my seat as I got in to the car, another rose at the theater, you name it. He was going all out. The last time I saw him was at his sisters wedding and he found out that I knew that he now made a lot of money. He cornered me with his hand up against the wall and hinted that I give him a call...but I had to ask his mom or his sister for his number. I ducked out and never forgot how funny he was. Unfortunately, our very last correspondence was on FB. We fought and I told him to Get over himself. The lesson here, never let the sun set on your anger. Never let someone go another day with your angry words in their ears. He was engaged to a gorgeous woman in January of this year and 4 months later, he has passed from this World. Hug your love ones...Keep them close and let your friends know that they have made a wonderful, significant impact upon your life, even if it was from a very distant childhood memory.
