Just recently, I made a post that said I hate this world today because there is no honest care or honest concern for each other. anymore. I took a trip earlier this year to a city that was larger than Great Falls, Montana. In this city there were two things that I actually saw much of. I saw many towers in this city ( Skyscrapers ), and I saw many of the poor ( most of which were homeless ) in this city. I never actually saw the people who inhabited these towers five days a week, but I was face to face with the poor or homeless inhabitants of this city. Met one person who was seeking for $10 to pay his rent for the month at the YMCA , and I met one who was only seeking for food. When I was to pull my wallet showing him I had no funds, but a card, he jumped back with fierce movement, and exclaimed, dont shoot me It is times like these that truly sadden me. Nobody should honestly have to endure such trials simply because a denial of help has been passed their way by their fellow human beings. I am actually to the stage where I believe food and housing should be rights, not privileges. If you own your own house that is a privilege, but to just have shelter from the elements or to not live in the streets should be a right, food also should be a right, not a privilege. so we let someone starve simply because they cannot afford it? This society that we have created is a self sustenance society. Meaning that if we can sustain ourselves and our families, forget everyone else. I am not only speaking from the point for Americans, but everyone worldwide. Of course, it is easy to simply forget about these people when you have no knowledge of them, but when you see and you actually realize these people have a face, not just a number, but an actual living and breathing with a soul that cries out for help, will you actually be able to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear unto them?
