Just returned a few hours ago from a very nice weekend in Phoenix. With Saturday noon and Sunday night concerts, it was going to be a bit of a hassle to drive to the valley and back twice, then I got the opportunity to share a couple of songs on Sunday morning too. So we booked a hotel room for two nights, and then the snow came to Payson...and kept coming. By Saturday, it had stopped, but not melted away, so we had to borrow our son-in-laws 4wd Suburban to make the trip. For 98% of the trip it wouldnt have been necessary, but the first two miles getting out to the highway made it a bit scary to take our Toyota Camry, or even our HD 3/4 ton pickup with 2WD and highway tires. Anyway it turned out to be a very nice trip with a bit of relaxing time and some shopping time that wouldnt have been possible with multiple trip back and forth. We were able to spend more time visiting with the churches where we ministered, so it was a pleasurable and rewarding trip in many ways.
