Just returned from Peshawar after two amazing days at the Digital Youth Summit - hosted by Peshawar 2.0 & KP IT Board - it was refreshing to see foreign speakers invited in probably one of Pakistans very hostile province, the venue was amazing & speakers outstanding The best part of the conference was that it was OPEN TO PUBLIC. The Summit truly connected with the people of Peshawar - unlike some previous Social media summits, a hand picked audience of *cough* IT Socialites (apologies) *cough* (I might also be included into that club) preaching to the preached - Apni expertism, doosray experts per jharna ;) what fun is that? It was good to share & inspire even the smallest idea from a bright mind eager to listen, I met many individuals in the two days who saw social media / freelancing / innovation as a great potential in their own way. For me - it was truly worth my time & effort to go to Peshawar and connect - even if one out of the hundreds that attended the #KPDYS14 makes a small difference in his life, it was definitely well worth it Organizatin was upto the par - a good setup, good location, good sound, TV screens, 10+ Wifi hotspots for the eager participants, Livestreaming, Insaf Radio, good production crew documenting the entire event and decent food ;) - Salute to the organizers for taking the lead and pushing through all odds to host this event, goes to show that nothing is impossible. I wish Peshawar 2.0 all the best in its future ventures
