Just returned from our Cuba and Miami trip last night - feeling happy, relaxed, inspired, and extremely grateful. Huge thanks to Ramon Ramos Alayo of Cuba Caribe and Moran Serr Hirsch for inviting us to be part of your amazing dance study excursion. Of the six trips I have taken to Cuba, this was absolutely the best - excellent dance instruction, fantastic variety of dance styles, amazing live music in our classes, deluxe accommodation in Santiago, fantastic casas in Havana, good food, a super nice group of people... I am very impressed by the quality of this trip and highly recommend it. Big thanks also to Eric Joseph Johnson for connecting us with some of the Fundadores of Casino in Havana. Dancing with them, watching them dance, hearing their stories - really some of my favorite experiences on the trip. When can we go back?!?! :-) Happy to be home in the Bay, excited to see all of our friends and students, and looking forward to sharing what we learned with all of you. Looking forward to seeing you all tonight in Mountain View, at the Friday night classes (and monthly party!) at the ODC tomorrow, and at the Salsa Workout at the ODC this Sunday.
