Just returned from photographing a Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep session ... While I may have had plans for my afternoon and evening, it seems God had other plans for me. I am glad I got the call in time to go. Despite the sadness of the situation and me shedding more than a few tears at this one (some days I just cannot control them as well as others), it was also truly an inspiration and a blessing to me to see how this family called upon their faith and each other to treasure every second of their babys life, both before her birth and after, and then to be with them as they commended her back to the loving care of their Father in Heaven. Some of you may not have a faith ... or a strong faith ... but I can tell you from personal experience and time spent with many families facing such a loss ... that those with a deep and abiding faith ... look upon these sorrows differently than those who do not and often find hope, love, and even moments of abounding joy even while enduring such a loss and even in the midst of their grief.
