Just returned from seeing CHICAGO at Thalian Hall & all I can say - TopicsExpress

Just returned from seeing CHICAGO at Thalian Hall & all I can say is what a fantastic production it was...and these were all high school students from Cape Fear Academy in Wilmington! Incredible singing, dancing, choreography, costumes, etc., etc...just an amazing & entertaining afternoon presented by a group of talented & VERY dedicated young folks who are bound to make a mark in the entertainment world in the years ahead. Kudos also to their director/choreographer David Loudermilk for being such an inspiration to the cast & crew, their teachers & parents for rendering such loving support, the set builders, make up artists, stage managers, lighting & sound technicians, prop assistants, & all the other behind-the-scene pros who encourage these students daily and provide a venue for them to showcase their talents. So encouraging & rewarding to see what a wonderful group of young people can do. Special shout out to my very talented granddaughter, Camille Bourne for her hard work being everywhere & doing everything at once as a Stage Manager and my daughter, Shannon Bourne, for her constant strong support of all things her children do. So proud of you guys. Also, thanks to my other family also supporting this great effort: Pat Woodard, Rachel Ward, Mikie Wall, Michael Rayle, & Travis Rayle. Judy Nelson, how great to see you there, too! Now on to the next production...Oops! Forgot to mention the orchestra... All made up of Cape Fear Academy Band Students! Just amazing...
