Just returned from visiting my brother and father in Thousand Oaks. I lived there from 1976 to 2005 when my husband and I moved to Wyoming. I graduated from La Reina in 1981. I cannot believe the change in the town. Valet parking at the Oaks Mall, Lynn Road is like a two lane freeway. What really got me was how high up the ridgeline they are now building. When I was a kid that was a big no no.. Its become so fast paced. We lived on Sheffield Place my dad bought the house brand new then moved to El Monte. My husband and I owned a house on Flores before we moved. Its hard to see how our little sleepy town has changed.
