Just sat outside East Surrey hospital waiting for Ivan, a woman was sitting on the bench right next to my car, head in hands, sobbing her heart out. I couldnt just sit there and do nothing. so I got out, sat beside her, put my arm around her and said Im sorry but I just though you needed this she explained her healthy tall handsome 17 year old son has taken really ill, she just kept saying hes so poorly, keeps going in and out of consciousness she has a 15 year old at home and is on her own, she has held it together because she doesnt want to cry in front of him, she thanked me so much for coming over to her and comforting her, she said it was exactly what she needed. She also said, we take our health and our children for granted before breaking down again, I hope to god this womans son is ok, Im going to hug my kids that little bit tighter tonight :( x
