Just saw Hayao Miyazakis last film The Wind Rises with some good friends at the AFI Festival. This was a fitting send off to the artist who created for our generation Kikis Delivery Service Spirited Away Castle in the Sky Howls Moving Castle and Ponyo. I really enjoyed this one. Very heartfelt, very emotional, very different from all the others. It was a truly moving love story, about a man who followed after his dreams, and in his pursuit he found another one, one who would share his life, whod inspire him to keep going, to rise with the wind, to live. Thank you Hayao Miyazaki for taking me on a remarkable journey.
