Just saw The Grand Budapest Hotel. Every time I see a Wes Anderson - TopicsExpress

Just saw The Grand Budapest Hotel. Every time I see a Wes Anderson film (Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) I have the same reaction. While the picture is running, you are baffled by the cartoonish storytelling, at times bored and at others amazed by how he presents an odd story. A few hours after leaving the theater while you have chewed on and digested what you just saw, you understand the brilliance of his writing and directing. Kind of a time delayed enjoyment. You almost have to see it again to catch the odd nuances. Ill wait for Netflix however.
