Just saw a bit about benefit fraudsters and how the dwp and doing their very best to bring these criminals to justice ...well let me tell you how I KNOW thats utter bullshit! Many years ago after a falling out with flatmates I moved out but they kept my stuff which included my driving license and signing on booklet amongst a few other things .. Later on when i had to sign on again I tried to put in for a crisis loan and was told I had reached the maximum I was allowed?? how was this ? I hadnt put in for a crisis loan in ages! It seems my old flatmates had used my ID to get a few crisis loans in my name and had maxed out the amount I could get. Now i was more than Irritated by this and immediately Informed the Jobcentre and had to investigate this myself as i was unsure of dates and the like, when I found out all the info I needed and handed it in to the jobcentre I was amazed to hear that there was a good chance nothing would be done (as they had claimed the money back off of me..nothing to do with Fraud against the government or a serious crime, just happy coz they had their cash back) when i got in touch with the fraud dept they pretty much told me the same thing, so it doesnt matter if your the right guy as long as the money is paid back...doesnt matter if the proper criminal is caught as long as that money is paid back! they are in no way out to do their job properly! wish theyd make a program about that kind of thing!
