Just saw a commercial from the teachers federation blasting mayor nutter and the governor for their not funding phila schools . But nothing about how all of a sudden they need 304 million to dump into our cesspool of a system , when charter schools , phila flight and declining population means mo money mo money . Close schools , combine them to have a full school , sell the buildings and land and cut the fat throughout the system. Or just like the firefighters brownout schools and no contract for anyone and several appeals ( illegal as they were) then complain to someone four years later.
